Bringing Specialty Skin Care Closer to Home
Today Dermatology Specialists of Georgia announced the opening of its newest office in Royston, Georgia, with patients able to schedule appointments beginning today ahead of a full opening in early November 2026. The new 2,650-square-foot location is at 930 Franklin Springs Street, Suite F, inside the Piedmont Athens Regional building in Royston, GA. It will be led by Kylie Sanders, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, who has trained with the organization’s clinical team since earlier this year in preparation for the launch.
“Patients across Franklin, Hart and Madison counties have had to travel well outside their community to access dermatologic care,” said Karen Maffei, MD, board-certified dermatologist in the Athens, GA, area. “Opening our Royston office allows us to bring that same standard of care much closer to home, for a community we’re genuinely glad to be part of.”
At opening the Royston office will offer routine medical dermatology services, including skin screening, acne and general skin condition management (like acne, eczema and psoriasis). The practice accepts all major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Kylie Sanders, MSN, APRN, FNP-C is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with a clinical background in trauma and oncology nursing. Kylie will be supported by Dermatology Specialists of Georgia’s board-certified dermatologists at its nearby Athens and Watkinsville offices for complex, surgical and cosmetic care.
