Dermatology Specialists of Florida Welcomes Dr. Kaisa van der Kooi to Fort Walton Beach

Dermatology Specialists of Florida in Fort Walton Beach is welcoming a new addition to their team of skilled dermatology providers—Dr. Kaisa van der Kooi, MD, FAAD, FADSP. Dr. van der Kooi is a board-certified dermatologist and board-certified and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon.

Dr. van der Kooi received her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, and proceeded to complete her residency in dermatology at Detroit Medical Center and Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She also completed a one-year fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology at Florida State College of Medicine in Tallahassee, Florida, and a one-year fellowship in dermatopathology at the University of South Florida.

With extensive training and prior experience in medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, pathology, and Mohs surgery, Dr. van der Kooi provides patients with highly informed, individualized treatment plans as well as education about their particular skin condition or disease. She shares that, “When you are my patient, my focus is on you. All of my expertise and knowledge are at your disposal. My goal is to help revive and restore your skin health.”
