Patricia Miller, MD

Clinical Research Fellow

Dr. Miller grew up in Palm Harbor, Florida, and earned an International Baccalaureate diploma from Palm Harbor University High School. She is a “triple Gator,” having completed her undergraduate studies, medical education, internship, and neurosurgical junior residency at the University of Florida.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in neurobiological sciences and graduated magna cum laude from the UF Honors Program, where her thesis received high honors. She received the Alumni Award for Academic Excellence, Professionalism, and Humanism for maintaining a 4.0 GPA and ranked first in her medical school class. She also graduated with a certificate in biomedical, clinical, and translational research.

Dr. Miller received several honors and awards, including a University Scholars Program Research Grant; the Albert L. Rhoton Jr., M.D., Neurological Surgery Excellence Award; the Florida Neurosurgical Society Best Clinical Project; and the James E. Boggan Award.

Her interest in dermatology was sparked during her neurosurgical residency, where she discovered a passion for providing dermatologic care to underserved populations. Today, her research interests within dermatology include pediatric dermatology, skin cancer, and psoriasis.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Miller enjoys baking as part of her nonprofit volunteer project, One Tough Cookie, Inc., which benefits the local pediatric charity Stop Children’s Cancer. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, Doug, daughter Maeve, and their two dogs and three cats.
