Michelle Sanford

Radiation Therapist

Michelle has been a radiation therapist for over 20 years and is committed to providing our patients with compassionate, one-on-one quality care. For her, delivering image-guided superficial radiation therapy is all about helping each patient achieve their very best outcome. She’ll also tell you that her love and passion for what she does began when she was 19 and went through her own journey and treatment after some precancerous cells were discovered on her cervix. Prior to joining our team, Michelle worked at East Alabama Medical Center’s Spencer Cancer Center for 18 years. She has also dedicated herself to continuing her education, earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Faulkner University, medical dosimetry from the University of Wisconsin La-Crosse, and her master’s degree in health administration from Louisiana State University-Shreveport.

Michelle was born in Germany to a German mom and American dad and transitioned from a military kid to an Army wife when she married her husband in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma 27 years ago. She has three amazing children and enjoys reading mysteries, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and going to sporting events!
