Dr. Alice Kesler grew up in San Francisco, California earning her International Baccalaureate diploma from the French American International School. She studied biology at Whitman College and received her medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in California where she was inducted into the Sigma Sigma Phi honor society. She recently completed her intern year through a transitional program at Lakeland Regional Health in Lakeland Florida.
Drawn to dermatology for its blend of medical precision and visual diagnosis, Dr. Kesler is especially passionate about helping patients feel more confident and comfortable in their own skin. Her interests span complex medical dermatology, inpatient care and health equity.
She has authored over a dozen peer-reviewed articles, with work published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Cutis and Melanoma Research. She has presented her research nationally and internationally, including at the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology Symposium in Prague. At Lakeland, she co-founded the Resident Research Club and led projects focused on inpatient dermatologic care and quality improvement.
Dr. Kesler is also active in education and outreach, mentoring students, developing nutrition programs for elementary schools, and volunteering at free clinics.
Outside of medicine, she trained pre-professionally with the San Francisco Ballet Academy and enjoys ballet, Pilates, yoga and travel. She loves discovering new cuisines and spending time with her fiancé, Noah.
