David T. Chandler, MD

Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Chandler attended Auburn University working his way through school as a firefighter earning his bachelor’s degree and graduating Magna Cum Laude. He received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama completing his plastic surgery residency at The University of Kansas Medical Center. Following his residency, Dr. Chandler was invited to pursue a prestigious fellowship in microvascular reconstructive surgery at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he completed a year of extensive training.

Dr. Chandler has also held several academic leadership roles, including serving as an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and serving as a representative on the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. He also enjoys sharing his experience and expertise with others as a featured presenter on a wide variety of plastic surgery and reconstructive topics, as well as volunteering for overseas medical mission work for both pediatric and adult patients. Dr. Chandler is a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Chandler enjoys spending time with his wife Twila and daughter Danielle as well as creating sculptures from wood, clay and metal.
